Spark Programs

All Spark programs utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis which include:

Utilizing positive and differential reinforcement (reinforcing replacement behaviors)
Individualizing lesson to meet the needs of the participants
Self-monitoring to teach participants to track their progress
Utilizing various learning modalities to increase learning takeaways

The programs provide 8 to 10 week long sessions which vary based on the specific needs of each school and program participants. The sessions embed Spark's core values, provides with a safe space to express themselves, manage conflicts and to build skills to support their personal growth.

Spark 2 Empower Program

Spark Girl Empowerment Program

The Spark 2 Empower program is a school-based program that supports all youth from 3rd to 5th grade and provides the opportunity to:

Connect and form close bonds with peers
Learn to identify their unique talents, gifts & abilities
Develop social and emotional tools to help them tricky social situations
Identify coping tools that fit their needs
Initiate and maintain positive relationships

The Spark 2 Empower program focuses on proactive strategies that are geared towards supporting individuals that may display skill deficits in the areas of social & emotional development, self-esteem & confidence.

Spark Girl Empowerment Program

The Spark Girl Empowerment program is a school & community based program that focuses on empowering girls & those that identify as a girl.

While addressing social barriers and challenges, Spark focuses on celebrating the uniqueness of every participant as they transition into adolescence.

The Spark Girl Empowerment program welcomes 3rd to 8th grade girls to participate in groups that focus on:

Building positive friendships, healthy relationships & sisterhood
Developing self-compassion, self-respect and increasing self-esteem
Building skills around body positivity and acceptance
Practicing leadership skills within their community
Identifying & regulating their emotions
Teaching participants how to discover their unique supports to better navigate their feelings.

Spark Workshops

Spark Summer Empowerment Camps

Spark workshops are designed to support middle schoolers in better understanding themselves, their emotions & behaviors as well to learn strategies to navigate some of the challenges & complexities that they face daily.

Spark offers an 8-week workshop series to support youth in:

Developing/Improving Self-Awareness, Self-Love/Respect & Acceptance
Understanding Emotional Regulation & Stress Management
Implementing Individualized Coping Strategies
Developing Strategies Against Peer-Pressure
Increasing Safety Awareness (including online safety)
Building Positive Circles of Friends
Increasing Positive Self-Expression

Spark Summer Empowerment Camps

Spark Summer Empowerment Camps provides youth ages 3rd grade to 5th grade with the opportunity to meet friends, build confidence, leadership skills while engaging in fun activities related to S.T.E.A.M. All of Spark's summer camps are held on a college campuses to give girls the opportunity to learn from college students and identify various fields of study within S.T.E.A.M.
